School Holiday Programs for School Aged Children

Keep the kid's entertained these School Holidays with our fantastic range of activities that they will be sure to enjoy.

Is your child a science wiz, a ninja star, a sensory student or just loves to dress up and dance? No matter what your child enjoys, we’ve got a broad range of school holiday sessions that every child is sure to enjoy. All sessions are created by our Diversional Therapist and have a duration of 3 hours which includes the activity, playtime and morning or afternoon tea.

WEEK 1

  • Monday 26 September – CLOSED
  • Tuesday 27 SeptemberNinja Warrior 1pm to 4pm 
    Run, jump, skip and swing through our obstacle course. Great for meeting new friends and enhancing gross motor skills.
  • Wednesday 28 SeptemberSensory Messy Play 10am to 1pm
    Get ready to get messy in this activity where we will be using an array of shaving cream, bubbles, spaghetti and much more to explore your creativity.
  • Thursday 29 SeptemberScience Session 1pm to 4pm – BOOKED OUT
    For all of the curious minds, this activity will include making ice-cream in a bag,  edible crystals, bouncy balls and volcano eruptions.
  • Friday 30 SeptemberSensory Calm Creations 10am to 1pm
    This hands-on activity involves making individual calm down bottles and emotion rock monsters for  children to create and take home to  enjoy.

WEEK 2

  • Monday 3 October – CLOSED
  • Tuesday 4 October – Music & Dance Day 1pm to 4pm
    Shake, Rattle and Roll whilst learning some cool new moves and being able to express yourself through music and dance.
  • Wednesday 5 October – Pool Noodle Madness 10am to 1pm
    This activity uses colourful pool noodles to create obstacle courses, build constructions and design crafts using different textures.
  • Thursday 6 October – Splat Art & Food Stamping 1pm to 4pm
    The latest craze in art, this session will allow kids to create a masterpiece using paint and food items. Fantastic for texture and shape exploration.
  • Friday 7 October –  Dress Up Dance Party & Treasure Hunt 10am to 1pm – BOOKED OUT
    Dress up in your favourite costume and get read to dance, dance, dance! Then after we’ll be doing a treasure hunt to find all sorts of goodies.

Our School Holiday Activities

All of our school holiday activities have been developed with the focus on fun, interaction and learning. They encourage and support both fine and gross motor skills along with creative thinking and the opportunity to explore all the senses. These activities are available for all school aged students and we encourage the inclusion of all abilities. In addition to the activity, all children will  have the benefit of play time and access to the features of the centre, including our bespoke new sensory room, bagjump, climbing wall, swings and more! Morning or afternoon tea will also be provided for each session.

Pricing and Information

All sessions have a duration of 3 hours and include the activity, plus play time within the centre and morning or afternoon tea. 

SESSION PRICING – $45 pp (non-members) OR $35 pp (members)

NSW Creative Kids, Active Kids and Parents vouchers accepted. NDIS payments may be accepted dependent on plan. Bookings are essential as places are limited. Please fill out the enquiry form below and one of our team members will be in contact with you to confirm your place. Parental / Carer supervision is required or enquire about our supported options.

Note: Adult sessions are Tuesdays and Thursdays 9:30am – 12:30pm. Children are advised to not attend the centre during these times.

Waiver and Release Form Share My Ability

Please read the following terms carefully. By participating in any class, activity or using any equipment provided by Nepean Area Disabilities Organisation (the Owner) you consent to, and agree to release the Owner from liability according to, these terms. Unless the Owner notifies you otherwise, this waiver and release will apply to all activities undertaken by you at Share My Ability (the premises).

You acknowledge that:

  • are over 18 years of age (if not, a parent/guardian must sign on your behalf)
  • understand that the using equipment provided by, and/or engaging in activities at, the premises is a form of physical activity and that there are inherent risks in undertaking any form of physical exercise
  • have disclosed, or will disclose to the Owner prior to commencing your session, any pre-existing conditions that may place you at a higher risk of injury or inhibit your ability to participate in certain activities or using certain equipment, this includes, but is not limited to:
    • injuries, pain or recent surgery
    • pregnancy or if you have recently given birth
    • respiratory or heart conditions or high blood pressure
    • physical condition or lack of mobility which may prevent safe use of the equipment
  • agree to notify the Owner and its Representatives (staff members) if you experience any pain throughout the session and will immediately stop participating in the session if requested by the Owner or its representatives
  • acknowledge that, based on information you provide, the Owner may decide not to allow you to participate in a session or activity, or use a certain piece of equipment, or may require you to provide a medical certificate affirming that you are able to participate in a session or activity or use a certain piece of equipment before allowing you to join, at the Owner’s sole discretion
  • acknowledge that recommendations or instruction provided by the Owner or Representatives may not be tailored for your particular skill or ability level and it is your responsibility to assess whether you are able or want to participate in all or part of a session or activity
  • acknowledge you are solely responsible for ensuring that your physical environment is suitable for your participation in any session or activity; and
  • agree that sessions may be recorded by the Owner for quality control or promotional purposes. If you do not consent to the Owner using video or still images taken during the session for promotional purposes, please notify the Owner in writing.

 

To the extent permitted at law, you release and hold the Owner (and where applicable its, directors, employees and representatives) harmless from any liability, cost, expense, damages or claims (including claims of negligence) arising from or which may be suffered or incurred in connection with your participation in any sessions or activities provided by the Owner.
